What Are SRECs?

In order to understand SRECs (Solar Renewable Energy Certificates), it makes sense to first understand RECs (Renewable Energy Certificates) in general. You may also hear RECs called as “Renewable Energy Credits,” “Green Tags,” or “TRCs” (for Tradable Renewable Certificates). Essentially, they all refer to the same thing.

DPU Approves NSTAR Basic Service Rates

The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU) has approved NSTAR Electric’s new default Basic Service Rates effective July 1. NSTAR customers can expect to see an approximate 10% decrease in rates this summer, as power prices have dropped to their lowest levels Since 2005.
